Tootmood – Launch an Event

Once you’ve created your event, it’s simply a case of gathering responses.

From the homepage you should see your list of created Events beneath the three main menu items. Find the Event you wish to launch and click the green Join event button.

You will see a preview of the survey question with an instruction on how to bring up the Event menu. Simply press and hold the bottom corner of the screen for a couple of seconds. Tap anywhere on the screen to bypass this instruction.

Your Event is now live and is ready to register responses. A popular way for schools to gather responses from students is during an assembly as students can be prompted to take a moment to read, and respond to, the question as they enter the assembly hall.

Alternatively, there may be a relevant lesson in which the tablet can be passed around the class, or on the teacher’s table and students are invited to come up one at a time to tap in their response.

If you wish to ‘pause’ the event, but intend to take further responses later, press the bottom corner for 2 seconds in order to bring up the event menu. Press Exit event to go back to your home screen. You will still see your event there so you can go back into it at any time and gather more responses.

If you are satisfied that you have gathered all responses and you are ready to close the event, bring up the event menu in the usual way (2-second touch in the bottom corner), and press End Event. Confirm that you’d like to end the event on the pop-up window and that’s it!

You will notice that your event is no longer visible on your home screen. That’s because all ended events are archived. Don’t worry, you can still access them by clicking the Past Events icon on your home screen.

Well done! You’ve completed a Survey! What would you like to do now?
