Launching to your students

Based on feedback from all our schools, the best way to embed tootoot as part of your safeguarding culture is to give it a strong introduction by way of an assembly launch across the school. If an assembly isn't possible, smaller class-sized launches are advised.

Either way, an impactful introduction to students, assuring them that there is now a way for them to report concerns confidently and confidentially directly to the school is the best way to launch.

Once you've introduced tootoot, we recommend playing one of our launch videos. There are two different videos: each tailored for either a primary of secondary school.

Q: Head mentors - what does this mean?

Head mentors have a higher level of access than mentors. All new cases raised by students will go straight to the head mentors and they will be able to assign them to an appropriate member of staff. Head mentors also have the ability to reveal who a student is straight away, if necessary (see below). Q: Where can I find the students' logins?

If you are connected to Wonde Once logged in to your admin account there will be a blue 'export student details' button that, once clicked, will have downloaded a spreadsheet with your students login details on – you might find it downloaded at the bottom of your browser window; otherwise, please check your downloads folder and saved files. If you are not connected to Wonde A member of the customer support team should have emailed you a spreadsheet with your students login details on during the set-up / reset-up process – please check your emails and saved files. If you are still unsure… Get in touch with a member of the customer support team on 01289 541 991. They will be able to reset all student passwords for you if needed.

With the concept of tootoot introduced and the short video played it's simply a case of distributing the logins to your students. There are two ways you can do this:

Automated Email - If your school has student accessible e-mail addresses uploaded as part of the student accounts, we can send out activation emails which will inform each student of their username and provide them with a link so they can reset their password to something unique and memorable.
Manually - If your students don't have access to school email, you can still quickly and easily distribute their logins. The spreadsheet with your student logins - that you either uploaded to create your student accoun

Launching to your staff

Before you launch to your staff, make sure that your account is setup in the correct way for your school. Click here to learn about permission levels.

2. Access our free virtual training

Sign-up to our free tootoot training where a member of the customer support team will go through each of our features in detail.

3. Launch your staff accounts

Ask our customer support team to send activation emails to your staff members – these can be scheduled for a day that suits you best. The email includes their usernames and a link to reset their password. You can get in touch with the customer support team on 01289 541 991 or by emailing support@tootoot.co.uk

Alternatively, you can manually hand out the staff login details which a member of the customer support team will have shared with you.

Question 6

What if a parent/guardian says something inappropriate?

How you deal with this situation is at the discretion of the school. It is within your power to deactivate any parent accounts that continue to abuse your staff or use the platform inappropriately.

We recommend you always inform the Head Teacher if this occurs and take the appropriate actions.
